Seller Identity Verification Stops Fake Accounts
Under the KOCA Terms of Service, the Business Accounting Act, and the Personal Data Protection Act, to become a seller, you must complete KOCA identity verification before you can list items for sale.
This verification has three steps:
- Upload a valid government-issued ID or residence permit
- Upload a selfie of yourself holding your ID to confirm your identity
- Upload the cover page of your bank passbook (used for receiving order payouts)
Through multiple verification steps, we safeguard the authenticity of every shop from the start, preventing scammers from impersonating others to trade, and protecting every buyer's rights.
1. Front and back of your ID
Upload clear photos of the front and back of your ID or residence permit. Avoid covering any part or glare so that identity verification does not fail. All ID images are stamped with a KOCA watermark
2. Selfie with your ID
To prevent identity theft and protect every user's account and funds, you must attach a photo of yourself holding your ID, to confirm that you are the real holder of the document.
3. Bank passbook cover
You must upload the cover page of your bank passbook, which is used for settling and receiving order payouts. To prevent payments going to third-party accounts, the account name must match the name on your ID.
Delayed Order Payouts Give Buyers Full Time to Inspect
To protect buyers' rights, all order payments are held on the KOCA platform after the buyer picks up the order and are not paid out to the seller immediately.
After picking up, the buyer has a 7-day inspection period. If the package is fine, the payout can be released early to complete the order.
During this period, if you find a problem after receiving the item (such as the wrong item or damage), you can submit an "Issue with this order" request directly in the app, and our customer support team will step in to help right away.
If no objection is raised within 7 days, the system automatically completes the transaction and pays the funds into the seller's wallet.
Shipping and Pickup Records for Both Sides at a Glance
The KOCA platform makes the following records public, so every shipment and pickup has a basis:
- Buyer pickup rate and pickup history: Discourages abandoning orders for no reason and gives sellers confidence
- Seller average shipping time and shipping history: Lets buyers understand a seller's fulfillment record and shipping speed
Before shipping, sellers can also see the buyer's pickup record and use the built-in chat to discuss details with them before deciding whether to ship, building good trust and a smooth transaction rhythm.
